day 81

7 November:

A photo from the front (honest!).
And Henry now has a song of his own:

I am Henry the cat I am
Henry the cat I am I am
I moved in with the Wolls next door
They’ve had several cats before.
And all of them were pussycats.
They woudn’t have a tomcat or a male (no Tom!)
I’m their first tomcat, I’m Henry,
Henry the cat I am.

(You know … sing it like Hermann’s Hermits)

day 80

6 November:

We tried the cat walking jacket. I strongly consider not replacing my old mop but just dragging Henry around the floor inside.
Then he did go outside with me. And explored. And when I wasn’t quick enough following him with the lead, he wriggled out of the really snug fitting jacket. Luckily, he was so spooked by this that he fled back in the house.
Anybody wants a cat jacket in XXXS?

day 78

4 November:  I like him better and better. He obviously hates me ironing. When I’m on the ironing board (and only then) he jumps up and claws my thighs. I consider walking around crumpled from now on.

And he managed to lie on my husband’s keyboard and making the picture go sideways … during the rugby game England vs South Africa. Now he has a crick in his neck.

day 76

2 November:

Been sitting in the vet waiting room for the last hour (famous last words: ” No, you don’t need an appointment.”) Realised I have the youngest animal of all the people waiting. Also the most vocal. He’s been complaining non-stop since we got here.

day 75

1 November:

New fact: If you pick up kitty repeatedly to get him off the desk, he will retaliate by farting.
PS: Tom cats can fart silently but deadly even when only 12 weeks old.

day 72

28 October:

He is all black and at the moment not too happy about travelling.

So much for: prepare dens, and burrows, and keep him in one room at first because he will be scared … well, he isn’t, he is nosy, and active. He didn’t even stay one hour in the room. First chance he ran out and started exploring. I’d be crap at keeping an indoor cat if I can’t even keep one confined!
