day 80

6 November:

We tried the cat walking jacket. I strongly consider not replacing my old mop but just dragging Henry around the floor inside.
Then he did go outside with me. And explored. And when I wasn’t quick enough following him with the lead, he wriggled out of the really snug fitting jacket. Luckily, he was so spooked by this that he fled back in the house.
Anybody wants a cat jacket in XXXS?

  1. Myra: I love that you are giving him a chance to go outside. Spot used to try to escape, but with 3 legs and no claws, it was NOT a good idea. We’ve seen a few people walking their cats, but all were much bigger than XXXS!

Eklastic: He will definitely go outside. When he is a wee bit older (and had the snip). I just thought I get him used to a jacket in case I ever actually need him to use it.

Molly: We tried that once. Messi hated it.

Eklastic: He doesn’t hate it (yet). But he is so little that I thought it might be good to have that option if ever necessary.

Mala: Could have told you that – there is NO WAY to keep a cat in a walking jacket or other revolutonary inventions to walk them with. They have no collarbones – they get out of EVERYthing if they set their minds to it.

Marianne: I took Leo forever to get used to his harness (my record time was 45 mins to put it on him) and now he’s quite happy with it. He knows he’s not allowed outside, so he’ll sit by the open garden door and cries until I grab it. However, yes, if he wants out, he’ll be out. Regardless of whether it fits or not. Give it another try. xxx

Eklastic: Ach man, I just thought he looked dashing in orange. Orange is the new black. Or not.

Marianne: Leo’s is Ferrari red. Suits him so well. Also, you can’t tell when he’s clawed the sh*t out of a slow visitor. 😂
